Product Description
Valdivia rectangular slab stone figure in the classical style of these pieces that are the earliest and most expressive forms of art from South America and the world. Narrower at one end, with grooves for a neck and lover torso and twin arches for the eyes of a stylized human figure. The pure and minimalist features of the eyes, neck, and legs make this a remarkable work of art very similar to the modern pieces made by Brancusi and Henry Moore. This is the pureness at its most.Grey stone, manganese mold scattered through out the piece. An original collector’s piece in a world of fakes and forgery pieces of this type that haunt the market these days. The authenticity of the piece is undoubted and the manganese dioxide marks are beautiful and proof of its authenticity. Mounted
