Product Description
A large, loosely woven, off-white, rectangular panel having an overall painted decoration consisting of several large zoomorphs, possibly fantasy sea creatures and snakes, with interspersed geometric elements and borders. Painted in shades of brown. Mounted on two folding linen covered stretcher panels. A 10äó x 6äó loss at the far end of the textile and a 6äóx 2äó repaired area at the lower center of the panel, a few other minor imperfections, overall excellent condition. Provenance: Ex. Jean-Eugene Lions collection, Geneva, Switzerland.
