Black tourmaline drop necklace (326 gms-1630 ct.) with Veraguas gold eagle pendant with a small animal in its beak. Panama, a gold avian pendant spreading its wings and splayed tail; depicted holding a small animal in its hooked beak. Beaded eyes and stylized zoomorphs on both sides of his head. Single suspension loop behind his head. Both feet project forward. Intact, overall exc. cond. A nice large example. Sturdy and light, specially suited to wear. Shinny surface that reflects light and a glimpse a beautiful gold color. Ex. estate of Ilona Gerstel, acquired prior to 1971. L: 13 cm; 4/1/4″ H: 10 cm; 3 3/4″.
