Bamileke throne made with wood, coated with jute, embroidered with polychrome glass beads, cowrie snails, embroidery with glass beads that are missing in some areas. In the Grassfield Kingdoms the leopard was looked upon as a symbol of royal power and leadership. The possession of such elaborate beaded stools was the King’s privilege.
